How to get there

Location

The Dpt. of Civil Engineering is located at Pólo II of the University of Coimbra, which is located on the right side of the Mondego River, in the Pinhal of Morocco Region. This Dpt. houses parts of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra, namely the Departments of Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

By train/By bus:

From Lisboa - there are frequent train and bus connections in a journey that takes approximately 120 minutes.
By train: From Santa Apolónia or Oriente train stations. By bus: From Sete Rios Terminal.

From Porto - there are frequent train and bus connections in a journey that takes approximately 60 minutes.

If you’re already in Coimbra, the network of Urban Public Transports (SMTUC) offers 3 Buses Numbers that to get to Pólo II:

• Number 34 – From the University to Pólo II, with regular Buses all day long (between 7 o’clock and 20 o’clock).

• Number 38 – From Planalto S. Clara (Fórum) to Pólo II, with regular Buses all day long (between 7 o’clock and 20 o’clock).

• Number 24T – From Palácio da Justiça to Quinta da Nora, with less frequency (specially at the end of the day, weekends, and holidays).

The tickets can be bought at SMTUC’s selling points, all over the city, at DEC’s bar or in the bus.
