PubhD questions mean that "I effectively got the message across"
From the PhD in Engineering Physics, Rute Santos brought to the July edition of PubhD Coimbra her research project: "How can the Sun leave us in the dark?". The PhD student is part of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra.
Why did you decide to participate in PubhD Coimbra?
I had been going for a while: first to come and watch and second to participate. Then there was an offer, where they asked if I'd like to come and present, and I accepted immediately because I decided "this is the moment I'm going to participate"! It was something I had already hoped to do.
How was your experience in this edition of PubhD Coimbra?
The experience was very good. It was very funny to see the curious looks: I looked at the audience and thought I wasn't speaking Chinese, I thought people understood. And I also enjoyed seeing a lot of questions, meaning that I really got the message across.
Would you advise other colleagues to participate?
Of course! First, to come and watch, I find it quite interesting, and also to come and participate as speakers.
