PubhD Coimbra is an opportunity to see research projects in a different way
Ana Reis Costa, from the PhD in Experimental Biology and Biomedicine, closed the April session of PubhD Coimbra. We talked about “Fructose: Poison or Remedy?”, the topic of the research she carries out at CNC-UC-Center for Neuroscience and Cellular Biology.
Why did you decide to participate in PubhD Coimbra?
Because I often come to see PubhD Coimbra. And as a spectator I find it really interesting, I've already learned a lot about different areas coming to PubhD. Therefore, I decided to make my contribution to the activity, to the project.
How was your experience in this edition of PubhD Coimbra?
My experience was quite positive. I wasn't expecting people to have so much curiosity and such diverse and sometimes a little bit more technical questions. In fact, it was very positive, and I think that these science communication initiatives always end up making us see our projects in a different way. And, especially considering that here in Coimbra there is tendentially a very large experimental biology community, there are even suggestions for projects. And therefore, I think it is something very positive for all doctoral students.
Would you advise other colleagues to participate?
Without a doubt, I would advise other colleagues to participate and I would like to see more colleagues also join in as spectators!
