Why did you decide to participate in PubhD Coimbra?

I was invited by my advisor, she recommended me as today [February 29th] is Rare Disease Day. And my research is indirectly linked to people who suffer from these diseases, because these people are also using cannabis as medicine, to alleviate their pain or to cure some pathologies as well.

How was your experience in this edition of PubhD Coimbra?

I thought it was wonderful. I really regret living in Porto currently, because I lived here [in Coimbra] for 5 years. It wouldn't be so difficult to travel to Coimbra, as I'm living in Porto for work reasons - I practice law here in Portugal and I have an office in Porto. I stayed here for 5 years and never participated.

And I thought it was wonderful: it’s a classroom-like atmosphere mixed with a bar. People come to listen very attentively, they ask very attentive and pertinent questions. I really liked it, I really liked it.

Would you advise other colleagues to participate?

Very much, very much! Very much, it's an incredible experience for you, who want to promote your project, to hear questions that make you think and reflect on where you should take your work as well. Wonderful! I loved it, I loved it.
