Innovation Award Bluepharma | University of Coimbra: applications open until 11 March

The pharmaceutical company awards €50,000 to support innovative health projects conducted by Portuguese researchers in either national or foreign institutions.

The University of Coimbra and Bluepharma have once again teamed up for the recognition of outstanding scientific research at an international level. Applications for the 2023 Bluepharma | University of Coimbra Innovation Award are open until the 11th of March. The €20,000 international prize aims to reward the best scientific projects in the field of health sciences, and the support can have a potential additional investment of €30,000 upon demonstration of the project's market viability.

The submitted projects must be fully or partially carried out by Portuguese researchers in either national or foreign institutions.
The award is based on criteria such as merit, originality, innovation, and the potential contribution of scientific projects that could be translated into products or services with significant benefits to society.

Applications for the 2023 Innovation Award Bluepharma | University of Coimbra are open between 8 January and 11 March 2024 and must be submitted via the website www.bluepharmaucinnovationaward.pt.

The Prize is awarded every two years to an innovative project in the field of health sciences. The winner will be announced in May 2024.
