Applications open for the EC2U Joint Masters Degrees in the areas of sustainability, aging, and European languages and cultures

The University of Coimbra coordinates the European Master's Degree in Sustainable Cities and Communities, with applications open until the 15th of July.

Applications are open for the European Masters’ offered by the seven universities that integrate the EC2U Alliance - European Campus of University Cities: University of Poitiers (France), University of Coimbra, Friedrich Schiller University of Jena (Germany), Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi (Romania), University of Salamanca (Spain), University of Pavia (Italy) and University of Turku (Finland).

All three Master's degrees - Sustainable Cities and Communities, Lifelong Wellbeing and Healthy Ageing, and European Languages, Cultures and Societies in Contact - are 2-year programmes taught in English. Applications are open until the 15th of July.

The EC2U Joint Master’s Degree “Sustainable Cities and Communities”, coordinated by the University of Coimbra, aims to train future national and international professionals with diverse backgrounds in the fields of environment, energy, urban planning and natural resources. This degree is aligned with professional practice and will ensure that students develop instrumental skills in analysis and synthesis, solving and planning. Graduates will be able to launch their career with advanced knowledge in the field of sustainable cities and communities. More info here.

In the area of Aging, EC2U offers the joint Master’s Degree “Lifelong Well-being and Healthy Ageing” a programme that provides students with knowledge, skills, professional and research competences necessary to the specialists of interdisciplinary approaches concerning lifelong well-being and healthy ageing. This degree is in line with professional practice within national and European public institutions and private companies and will form high-level experts in the bio-psychosocial fields related to well-being and ageing.

The 3rd programme with applications open is the EC2U Joint Master “European Languages, Cultures and Societies in Contact”, which provides students with an in-depth knowledge of the European linguistic, cultural and social landscape using advanced research methods in the academic field.
