The University of Coimbra (UC) will publicly present the ten winning projects of the 4th edition of the 'Initiative for the Promotion of Scientific Culture' (which sponsors interdisciplinary scientific and cultural communication activities) on Monday, the 13th of May, at 3 pm at the UC Exploratório - Centro Ciência Viva of the University of Coimbra.

The initiative funds ten activities/initiatives that promote the dialogue between science and culture and the dissemination of knowledge produced at the University to a non-academic/scientific public.

This year, the prize has been increased to 1,500 euros per project/initiative. Eligible projects are interdisciplinary and original activities promoted by teams of researchers from at least two UC research and development (R&D) units representing different scientific fields. Each team must include UC doctoral students and adhere to the principles outlined in the UC Plan for Equality, Equity, and Diversity 2019-2023, particularly regarding gender equality and diversity.

The public award ceremony will feature remarks by the UC Vice-Rectors for Research, João Ramalho-Santos, for Culture, Communication, and Open Science, Delfim Leão.
