Webinar presents tools for data policy in academic journals
Event takes place on January 26, from 11 am to 12 pm, via Zoom
The PUB IN project promotes, on January 26, a webinar on the Data Policies for Scientific Publishers and Journals Toolkit. The Toolkit is a material that aims to serve as a basis for awareness and guidance on the topic of research data policies in the context of Portuguese academic journals, in all areas of knowledge.
The toolkit presents 14 key components and their different levels of implementation in the journals - basic, intermediate and advanced. The material underlines the importance of a data policy as an incentive for Open Science and for the dissemination of FAIR principles, contributing to the availability and reuse of data. On the RCAAP blog, the webinar's call highlights the growing relevance of data management, which has become a baseline requirement for science funders.
Pub In is a project that aims to promote the adoption of good practices in editorial management and Open Science by Portuguese scientific journals. The initiative is developed by the University of Minho, in collaboration with the National Scientific Computing Unit of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT/FCCN).
