As part of the celebrations for this year's International Open Access Week, the University of Coimbra is holding the event "Open Science Communities in Rómulo" on 23 October (next Monday). The initiative is organised by the Vice-Rectorate for Culture, Communication and Open Science, through the UC Open Science team, with the support of many UC stakeholders in the field of Open Science.

The aim of the meeting will be to bring together the various UC teams that provide services related to Open Science, fostering interconnection between these activities, networking and advancing integration proposals, including the Open Science Community Coimbra initiative, which will be presented at the event.

The initiative should result in future broader events, open to the UC community. This first meeting will be reserved for working teams, allowing for a specialised debate on the topics to be addressed.
