UC Center promotes activities of the 'Ciência Viva no Verão em Rede' project

Activities promoted by Rómulo - UC Ciência Viva Center are mainly aimed at children aged 6 to 12 years

Within the scope of the 'Ciência Viva no Verão' project, which takes place from July 15 to September 15, Rómulo - Centro Ciência Viva of the University of Coimbra promotes outdoor activities in the external area of ​​the Physics Department of UC. The aim is to reach the general public, and especially children, to show the dazzling and fun potential of science, which allows us to better understand the Universe in which we live.

Participation is free, but requires prior registration, which must be done through this link. Aimed at the general public, the activities mainly focus on children aged 6 to 12 years.

"Ciência Viva no Verão" is in its 24th. edition and highlights the Circuito Ciência Viva project, whose motto is "Let yourself be guided by curiosity!". There are activities all over the country, always in the company of specialists. The project has 200 actions, on 500 dates, organized by the Ciência Viva Centers, scientific associations, municipalities and companies.

Ciência Viva - National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture's mission is to promote scientific culture in Portuguese society, for all audiences, with special emphasis on the younger strata and the school population. Ciência Viva originated in the program with the same name, created by the Ministry of Science and Technology on July 1, 1996. About two years later, Ciência Viva acquires association status with members of public institutions and research laboratories - including Rómulo - Centro Ciência Viva at the University of Coimbra.
