Open Science at the UC: meeting in May opens call for papers

Event aims to give full visibility to Open Science at the University of Coimbra

Following on from the first meeting held on 23 October 2023, "Open Science Communities in Rómulo", which focused on structures and services, the second meeting aims to broaden the initial scope and give full visibility to Open Science at the University of Coimbra, disseminating innovative practices, projects and reflections, as well as boosting knowledge and collaboration.

The topics proposed will fall under one of the four pillars of the meeting - Experiences of Co-creation and Collaboration, Open Access, Responsible Use of Metrics and Open Data - and may include, among others:

  • Open Science infrastructures;
  • citizen science projects;
  • sharing experiences in involving researchers in the transition to open access;
  • the impact of Open Science practices on the development of research activities;
  • training in Open Science;
  • training researchers in research data management;
  • Open Science and the reform of the research assessment system;
  • Open Science practices in research units;
  • Open Science requirements demanded by science funding agencies;
  • drawing up research data management plans;
  • open educational resources;
  • open peer review practices.

Proposals can be submitted until 28 March 2024 using this form.
