"Three PhD students talk about science in a bar" is the motto of PubhD, an initiative that began in 2015 to fill bars in Portugal with science. PubhD's main goal is to communicate science, in an informal way and without projections, in a bar environment.

PubhD Coimbra arises within the SciComPT 2017 Congress at the bar Aqui Base Tango, in the area certified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2019, it moved to LiquidÂmbar, where it currently remains.

The concept is common: 3 PhD students informally explain their project. All sessions promote dialogue and the exchange of experiences between the speakers and the audience that accompanies them.
