Psychological Tests

Instruments

The PsyAssessmentLab team systematically develop, adapt, validate and define standards/norms for psychological and neuropsychological assessment instruments. These instruments (e.g. tests, questionnaires, interviews) are presented below with a brief description and the respective list of publications (national and international) that identify the Portuguese studies that have already been carried out.

The study of some of these instruments was carried out within the scope of research projects receiving external funding from several institutions (the National Institute of Scientific Research [INIC], National Board for Scientific and Technological Research [JNICT], the Foundation for Science and Technology [FCT], the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation [FCG]), and the financial support of test publishers (Cegoc, Hogrefe), along with PhD projects (many of which with FCT grants) and Master's dissertations, or with funds earmarked by research units (e.g., Neuropsychological Assessment and Ageing Processes, now Neuropsychological Assessment and Interventions Group of the Neuropsychology and Cognitive Behaviour Intervention Research Centre/CINEICC).

It should also be noted that the study of some of the instruments listed involved not only students but also the collaboration of Neurology, Psychiatry and Paediatrics departments (psychologists, neurologists, psychiatrists and paediatricians).

The work carried out with tests and other assessment instruments at PsyAssessmentLab makes a significant contribution to improving the practice, research and teaching of psychological assessment in Portugal.
