Culture Collection

- website under construction -

This collection includes more than 1400 clinical yeasts isolated from human infection. These clinical isolates, were validated by clinical microbiologists and clinicians, at the hospitals of origin, as having etiological interest. In addition to the classic identification carried out in a clinical diagnostic laboratory, each of the isolates was identified by one or more molecular biology techniques. The nucleotide sequences of the ITS – 5.8 S fragments were studied and are available for most of the isolates.

The collection began in 2002, it has been continuously updated. Of these, at least 1,000 have associated clinical data (age of the patient, underlying pathology, site of infection and isolation product).
