António Pedro Pita

Full Professor at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra, in the Department of Philosophy, Communication and Information. Researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS20/UC), of which he was Scientific Coordinator. Scientific Director of the Museum of Neo-Realism (2014-2017). Regional Delegate of Culture of the Centre (2005-2007). Regional Director of Culture of the Centre (2007-2011). President of the Philosophy Teachers Association (1988-1992; 1998-2000). He works in the areas of philosophy (aesthetics and political philosophy) and contemporary culture.

Dina Sebastião

UC, FLUC, DFCI e CEIS20/UC

She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra. She holds a PhD in European Studies from the same University. Her areas of interest for research focus on political parties and European policies, on dynamics ofEuropeanisation, with a focus on Portugal and Spain, following a normative orientation applied to the EU as a political entity. In this context, she has published book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals. She was awarded the 2017 Jacques Delors Prize – Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the best study on EU issues.

Joana Ricarte

Joana Ricarte is a Collaborator Researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS20) at the University of Coimbra and Invited Assistant Professor in International Relations at the University of Beira Interior. Her academic background is interdisciplinary, including research and teaching experience in several fields of social sciences and humanities, focusing on memory, identity and conflict studies. She is author of the book The Impact of Protracted Peace Processes on Identities in Conflict: the case of Israel and Palestine (Palgrave Macmillan).

João Paulo Avelãs Nunes

Associate Professor at the University of Coimbra/Faculty of Arts/Department of History, European Studies, Archaeology and Arts; Researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS20/UC) of the University of Coimbra. He works on industrial archaeology, contemporary history and history of the present time; history and theory of historiography; didactics of history and dissemination of historiography; cultural heritage and museology; organizational culture and territorial differentiation; cultural leisure and tourism.

Luís Trindade

Luís Trindade teaches modern history at the University of Coimbra, where he is vice-coordinator of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS20/UC). Between 2007 and 2019, he taught at the University of London (Birkbeck College). He published O Estranho Caso do Nacionalismo Português. O salazarismo entre a política e a literatura (2008), Narratives in Motion. Journalism and modernist events in 1920s Portugal (2016) and Silêncio Aflito. A sociedade portuguesa através da música popular (dos anos 40 aos anos 70) (2022). He has also published on the histories of Marxism, cinema and mass culture in twentieth century Portugal.

Nuno Coelho

UC, CEIS20/UC, DEI

Assistant professor of the Department of Informatics Engineering (DEI) and researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS20/UC) of the University of Coimbra. He holds a PhD in Contemporary Art from the same university. He researches in areas such as design, history, material culture, digital humanities and visual representation and semiotics. He has explored issues of identity and memory through the exploration of the politics of image production and archives of Portuguese historical institutions and trademarks.
