Short-CV

My MSc studies on Petroleum Geology and My PhD in Geological Processes at the Coimbra University was focused on micropaleontology, which helped me to learn and practice several laboratorial techniques (preparation of samples for foraminifera, calcareous nannoplankton and conodonts taxonomic studies), as well as to develop skills in biostratigraphic and paleoecological analysis, including quantitative approaches. Complementary learning, namely regarding the preparation of microfossils for electronic microscopic studies was performed during an internship at the University Complutense of Madrid (Spain). But I was also greatly involved in other research activities carried on by the University of Coimbra, including short courses (experiments on seismic interpretation) and petroleum exploratory campaign simulation (participation in the Imperial Barrel Awards, AAPG Europe). I have passed my MSc degree on September, 2013, and concluded my PhD on March, 2021. I am currently a researcher at the Foundation for Coordination of Projects, Research and Technological Studies, working at the Laboratory of Applied Micropaleontology (MicrA) at UFRJ and a collaborating member of the CGeo at the University of Coimbra. I have experience in Geosciences, with emphasis on micropaleontology, biostratigraphy, paleoecology and paleobiogeography.
