Síntese do Projeto: The project aims to understand the molecular mechanisms of exocytosis and endocytosis at the synapse and the consequences of their dysfunction, such as impaired synaptic physiology and neurodegeneration. The work is planed to be complement by directing future research towards the presynaptic endosomal dynamics and its role in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson's disease.
