First sampling phase of Hugo Gaspar's 2025 PhD completed

FLOWer Lab announces the completion of the first sampling phase of 2025 for Hugo Gaspar's (INMELUS) PhD, which took place over 11 days and covered several regions of the country, including Beja, Sintra, Guarda, Bragança and Viana do Castelo.

The aim of this work is to sample multiple habitats in Portugal to better understand the distribution of wild bees. This is the first of several field phases planned for the year, with the second sampling taking place in May.

The project reinforces research on pollinators and biodiversity conservation in Portugal.
