Ecology Day 2023

As part of Ciência Viva no Verão and #ecologyday2023 (SPECO - Sociedade Portuguesa de Ecologia), yesterday at the UC Exploratório - Centro Ciência Viva da Universidade de Coimbra we carried out the activity "Pollination and the importance of pollinators | Ciência Viva no Verão".
The activity aimed to raise awareness of the need to assess, conserve and value pollinators and pollination and is part of the objectives of polli.NET - Collaborative Network for the Assessment, Conservation and Valuing of Pollinators and Pollination.
In addition to the FLOWer Lab (Centre for Functional Ecology - Science for People & the Planet) team, the activity was attended by Ana Cristina Tavares and Maria João Horta Parreira, who gave us a reading of their short stories, "A alga que queria ser flor" and "A Aventura da Abelha Juju num Pomar de Cactos", respectively. We would like to thank them both for this marvellous collaboration.
