Within the Cultivar project we are organising the dissemination activity "From Flower to Cherry", where we intend to make participants aware of the following questions that help us understand how the delicious cherries from Cova da Beira are produced:
- What is a flower for?
- Why does the flower produce pollen and who carries it?
- Do you know how many species of bees exist in Portugal and why they are important?
- Did you know that without pollinators we have no cherries?
- How can we help conserve pollinators?
The activity takes place on April 1, 2023, from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., at the "Ciência Viva das Cerejas e das Ideias" Farm in Alcongosta, Fundão.
The activity will take place in a field context, targeting the general public, especially families.
