Train

The train connections of Portugal with Europe are quite poor, it is difficult to find a confortable connection to arrive by train. Anyway here are the links for the Portuguese railways (CP - Comboios de Portugal). Good luck!

Bus

Plane

The closest airports to Coimbra are Oporto International Airport (Home | Porto Airport (aeroportoporto.pt), ca. 1h by train to Coimbra (CP - Comboios de Portugal), and the Lisbon International Airport (Home | Lisbon Airport (aeroportolisboa.pt)), ca. 2h by train to Coimbra (CP - Comboios de Portugal).

OFFSETTING CARBON EMISSIONS

The greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the conference activities will be mitigated by supporting a local Nature Protection and Conservation Association "Mil Voz" (MilVoz - Associação de Protecção e Conservação da Natureza). We will use 0.5% of the conference budget to support the local Nature Protection Association. If you wish you can also make a personal contribution to the Association. Please check their website.

ACCOMODATION

The conference will be in the city centre, thus choose an accomodation within a walkable distance. In the following link find some information from the tourist office (Coimbra • Center of Portugal).
