R&D+I

The Research and Development (R&D) + Innovation undertaken at the University of Coimbra involves experimental and theoretical work to discover knowledge that can be used for the systematic development of new materials, new products and/or processes, systems and services, or to substantially improve existing ones.

Consequently, every project has a fundamental or applied Research component, and an experimental development component. The resulting knowledge can be applied or replicated in different contexts, thus providing the basis for the creation of new and better products, processes and systems. These projects are all innovative and highly advanced.
