UC Research Ethics Committee launches online platform for the submission of opinion requests
The University of Coimbra (UC) community can now request ethics opinions for scientific research projects online, in cases where the UC does not have a dedicated ethics committee within the organisational unit or field of knowledge relevant to the project.
The University of Coimbra (UC) community can now request ethics opinions for scientific research projects online via the website www.uc.pt/ceiuc. This procedure applies in cases where UC lacks a specific ethics committee within the organisational unit or field of knowledge relevant to the project.
The website also hosts all regulations of the Research Ethics Committee of the University of Coimbra (CEIUC), along with various useful documents and links related to ethics in scientific research. Additionally, the platform provides information on the schedule of upcoming CEIUC meetings.
The mission of the Research Ethics Committee of the University of Coimbra is to uphold the highest ethical standards, ensuring dignity, non-discrimination and compliance with the principles of autonomy, responsibility, honesty, quality and scientific integrity in all research conducted at the UC.
