Queima das Fitas is once again organising a blood donation campaign among the academic community. The aim is to "combat the blood shortage and encourage people to be more active donors, helping those who need it most", the organising committee says.
The Student Hub at the University of Coimbra (UC) has been chosen as the venue for the blood drive on Monday 8 April. Donations will be accepted between 9:30-13:00 and 15:00-17:00, after pre-registration using the online form available here.
The event is jointly coordinated by the Queima das Fitas 2024 Organising Committee, the General Directorate of the Coimbra Academic Association, the Coimbra Local Health Unit and the UC Student Hub.
