The 15th edition of the QuebraJazz Arts Festival, with the theme 'Messengers', will take place in July and August, with 34 performances at the Colina de Camões Amphitheatre (Quinta das Lágrimas), and the Quebra Costas Staircase. The University of Coimbra (UC) is a partner organiser of the event, and there are special rates for the UC community.

The QuebraJazz Arts Festival, a "fusion of two major festivals in the city of Coimbra", will begin on the 17th of July and run until the end of August. According to the director of this year's edition, Miguel Lima, the festival "combines cultural celebration, education and entertainment".

The festival will "pay tribute to two iconic dates in our history and culture - the 500th anniversary of the birth of Luís de Camões and the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April", adds Miguel Lima, and "highlight, through the arts, the importance and fundamental role played by the 'Messengers' who have significantly inspired and influenced society, spreading information, ideas and culture".

Tickets are already on sale at the usual venues and through the online box office, and the UC community can benefit from special rates. Children under 12 have free access to the Colina de Camões Amphitheatre.
