João Ramalho-Santos reappointed as Director of the UC Institute for Interdisciplinary Research

João Ramalho-Santos has been reappointed as Director of the University of Coimbra's Institute for Interdisciplinary Research (IIIUC) for the 2025–2027 term.
In office since 2023, Ramalho-Santos — who also serves as UC's Vice-Rector for Research — will continue to lead the Institute following his reappointment by Rector Amílcar Falcão.
As set out in the University Statutes, the position of IIIUC Director, along with those of the College of Arts and the Institute for Nuclear Sciences Applied to Health, is filled by direct appointment from the Rector.
