INNOV2CARE project launches postgraduate course in healthcare innovation and interprofessional work
The new course is aimed at healthcare professionals in clinical practice, researchers, and health sector managers. The first edition is scheduled to begin at the end of October 2025.

As part of the INNOV2CARE – Inovar para Cuidar (Innovate to Care) project, the University of Coimbra and some partner institutions will launch the postgraduate course Technological Modernisation in Healthcare and Interprofessional Work in 2025.
The course is designed to strengthen skills in digital innovation, interprofessional collaboration, and organisational modernisation. It will also prepare participants to develop, evaluate, and manage innovative solutions using technology, simulation, and collaborative approaches.
Aimed at healthcare professionals in clinical settings, researchers, and healthcare managers, it will run for approximately 20 weeks and will be delivered online, combining both synchronous and asynchronous sessions. The first edition is scheduled to begin at the end of October 2025.
The INNOV2CARE project is coordinated by the University of Coimbra, in partnership with the University of Beira Interior, the University of the Azores, the Nursing School of Coimbra, and the Polytechnic Institutes of Coimbra, Castelo Branco, Guarda, and Viseu. Funded by the European Commission’s Recovery and Resilience Facility, the project is part of the Impulso Mais Digital – Reform and Modernisation of Medicine investment programme.
Through this new course, INNOV2CARE aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary for navigating the complex and rapidly changing healthcare landscape, maximizing the benefits of technological modernisation and the advantages of interprofessional teamwork.
