EC2U hosts conference on peace, justice and strong institutions in Europe

“Building Peace and Justice Resilience in Europe: Interdisciplinary Approaches in Support of Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions” will be held in Germany on 27 October, with online participation available.

The EC2U – European Campus of City-Universities Conference “Building Peace and Justice Resilience in Europe: Interdisciplinary Approaches Supporting Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions” will take place on 27 October as a hybrid event, accessible online, and in person at the University of Jena, which is hosting the event.

The event is open to the whole community and aims to provide a platform for the constructive exchange of ideas about building peaceful, well-governed and inclusive societies.

Registration is not mandatory, but those planning to attend, in person or online, are kindly asked to complete this form.

The conference is promoted in the scope of the EC2U Joint Master’s Programme (JMP): Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, referring directly to the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) no. 16: “promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.”

The conference will feature presentations, workshops and panel discussions throughout the day. The full programme is available here.

The EC2U Alliance brings together nine European universities: the University of Coimbra, the University of Poitiers (France), Friedrich Schiller University Jena (Germany), Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași (Romania), the University of Salamanca (Spain), the University of Pavia (Italy), the University of Turku (Finland), Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria), and Umeå University (Sweden).
