Revista Captar invites researchers and professionals from various fields to submit articles for its Volume 15 (2025), dedicated to exploring the connections between sociobiodiversity and public policies.
This special issue aims to foster a critical debate on the biopolitical and social challenges that arise in territories marked by multiple forms of inequality, examining how public policies can (or cannot) respond to socio-environmental complexities. The preservation of sociobiodiversity and environmental sustainability requires innovative and integrated approaches that value traditional knowledge, intercultural dialogues, and participatory methodologies.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Public policies and socio-environmental governance – impacts, challenges, and alternatives for more inclusive and sustainable models.
- Participation of traditional communities and Indigenous peoples – agency, territorial rights, and Southern epistemologies.
- Intersections between sustainability, culture, and territoriality – how different forms of knowledge and social practices can contribute to more effective policies.
- Participatory methodologies and new political perspectives – experiences that strengthen cooperation between academia, civil society, and policymakers.
By bringing together contributions from diverse contexts and disciplines, this issue seeks to develop a comprehensive perspective on the relationships between society and nature, encouraging essential reflections for building fairer, more equitable, and environmentally responsible futures.
