International Congress ‘Education, Environment and Development

From November 13 to 16, 2024, at the Polytechnic University of Leiria, researcher Ana Mendonça from the Societies and Environmental Sustainability Research Group of the Centre for Functional Ecology—Science for People & the Planet, TERRA Associated Laboratory at the University of Coimbra and its extension at Universidade Aberta attended this prestigious event organized in collaboration with Oikos.

Her presentation, titled "Development and Sustainability: inputs of a local project", showcased local initiatives from the Municipality of Cadaval, focusing on sustainable development and circular economy strategies This contribution highlights the importance of aligning local actions with the Sustainable Development Goals to foster meaningful community changes.
