The book "Vidas Suspensas: Practices and Consequences of Violence" has just been published.

This publication includes the co-authorship of Rosário Rosa, researcher at the Societies and Environmental Sustainability Research Group of the Centre for Functional Ecology – Science for People & the Planet, Associated Laboratory Terra of the University of Coimbra, and its Extension at the Open University of Portugal. It is published by Edições Húmus and stems from the project The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Violence Against Women – A Longitudinal Analysis, funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).

The study focuses on the effects of the first lockdown during the pandemic on interpersonal violence dynamics against adult women living in Portugal, providing crucial data and reflections for understanding gender-based violence in times of crisis.

A vital scientific and social contribution towards understanding and transforming realities marked by inequality and silencing.
