In the book, "Eu sou tu. Experiências Ecocríticas.", we address the issue in the light of the ecological crisis, giving visibility to two currents of ecocentric environmental ethics - deep ecology and spiritual ecology - which intersect in ecosophy, a personal path to try to perceive and feel the deeper reality that emerges from the web of life and that connects everything. This search implies a double epistemological rupture, including transdisciplinarity and a narrative that is more in line with the reality of life and fosters the flourishing of empathetic connections between human and non-human beings and nature. It is about extending the boundaries of the individual to include the whole, which is also the whole, without losing its singularity. When the ecosophical perception and experience are evident and profound, it is natural for the individual to identify with nature. At that point, it is easier to start respecting and caring for it because its protection is part of the individual's protection.
