This Thursday in Coimbra, doctoral researcher Jorge Moreira, from the Societies and Environmental Sustainability Research Group at the Centre for Functional Ecology – Science for People & the Planet, Terra Associate Laboratory at the University of Coimbra and its Extension at Universidade Aberta of Portugal, will take part in the roundtable entitled “Contemplation, Ecology, Arts, and Environmental Awareness”, held as part of the extension of the Vita Contemplativa 2025: The Return of Contemplation colloquium.
His contribution will focus on Spiritual Ecology, reflecting on how the contemplative dimension can open pathways to alternative ways of relating with the more-than-human world — rooted in care, attentive listening, and regeneration.
It will be a moment of encounter between thought, art, nature, and spirituality, where different forms of knowledge and practice come together to challenge dominant ways of living. All are warmly invited!
