The third ranking of scientific publications of the Ibero-American Network of Innovation and Scientific Knowledge (REDIB) has just been launched, done in collaboration with the Web of Science Group. In this edition, more than a thousand journals from the approximately 3,400 included in REDIB were analyzed and classified. With regard to Portugal, of the 11 journals included and evaluated in the ranking, 6 of them are published by the Coimbra University Press.

The ranking classifies publications from Latin America, Spain and Portugal, and allows, starting from the current edition, to consult the impact of each article individually, as well as to preview the summary of articles indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection (WOS). The indexes included in the collection are in the scope of Sciences (SCIE), Social Sciences (SSCI), Art and Humanities (AHCI) and Emerging Sources (ESCI).

The objective of the REDIB ranking is to promote a bibliographic information system that allows the reliable and recurrent creation of editorial and scientific quality indicators, stimulating the development of the Ibero-American Space of Knowledge, and thus contributing to increase the weight of science in this region in the international editorial scientific panorama.

REDIB, which is a platform for aggregating reference scientific documentation for Latin America, currently has more than 3,300 indexed journals and around 1.2 million articles. In addition to the bibliometric data resulting from the ranking, the network offers interesting bibliographic and statistical data on publications on its online page. All texts are also freely accessible from the publisher's original website.

The Ibero-American Network of Innovation and Scientific Knowledge is promoted by the Superior Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and Universia (Banco Santander). The content aggregated on the platform is mostly produced in the Ibero-American space in Spanish, Portuguese and other languages that are relevant to the community.
