The "Collaborative Engagement on Societal Issues (COESO)" program, a participatory Citizen Science project funded by the European Commission and supported by the OPERAS infrastructure, is collecting responses to a survey on Citizen Science funding. The "Landscape Study on Citizen Science (CS) Funding in Social Science and Humanities (SSH)" survey is aimed at all people who wish to contribute with Citizen Science methodologies for Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH); people engaged or willing to engage in Citizen Science (CS) or participatory research projects involving disciplines from the SSH fields.

The goal of the research is to identify what are the main funding needs within the scope of Citizen Science projects. The questionnaire takes 8 to 10 minutes to be completed.

The COESO project brings together 15 members, from 6 different European countries; one of its main objectives is to work with funding organizations to create innovative funding schemes for Citizen Science in the SSH.

The results of the survey will be published on the future website of the COESO project, whose activities started in January 2021.

| More about COESO |

The mission of the 3-year participatory research project is to enable a strong growth of Citizen Science projects in the Social Sciences and Humanities, and to support participatory research through a service-first approach. The project is an endeavour to bridge collaboration between the European SSH community, the citizen science community and the open scholarly communication community.

COESO's vision is to overcome the obstacles that hinder the development of citizen science in the SSH.
