Open access: free webinar from IEE takes place in September 23

The initiative is dedicated to authors and will review opportunities to increase impact and visibility

It takes place, on September 23, a webinar on open access publishing with IEEE - the largest professional technical organization for the advancement of technology - to increase the exposure and impact of investigations. The webinar is mainly aimed at authors/ researchers and will be free of charges for participants.

Topics which will be covered include: increasing research visibility, the benefits of publishing in IEEE open access journals, tips and practices to increase the chances of being published, information about what editors and reviewers look for in submissions and common reasons why papers are rejected, authorship tools available at IEEE to promote open science and options available in the organization for open access. There will also be a Q&A session with experts.

The presenters will include the editor-in-chief of the multidisciplinary open access journal IEEE Access and professor at the University of Adelaide (Australia) Derek Abbott; Professor Dr. Lajos Hanzo, professor at the University of Southamptong (United Kingdom) and frequent contributor to IEEE Access; and Andrew L. Popper, Senior Director of Global Products and Marketing at IEEE. The event starts at 12 pm and will last for 1 hour, with 45 minutes of exposure and 15 minutes of live questions and answers.
