On Wednesday, July 28, Rómulo, the Living Science Centre (Centro Ciência Viva) of the University of Coimbra, holds the second session of conversations about Heritage and Science in the evening. The program is part of the project Live Science in Summer (Ciência Viva no Verão), which includes open activities about science for adults and children during the months of July and September.

The session counts with the participation of Carlota Simões, professor of the Department of Mathematics of UC, for a conversation with the director of Rómulo, Carlos Fiolhais, and with the interested public. Participation is open, free of charge and does not require previous registration, and the idea of the event is to promote a lively and informal dialogue on the theme. The programme also aims to contribute to the strengthening of scientific culture and the defence and dissemination of heritage.

The conversations about Heritage and Science always take place on Wednesdays, between 7 pm and 8 pm, at the Café Santa Cruz terrace, in Coimbra's downtown, in four meetings in July and September, moderated by Professor Carlos Fiolhais. On July 21st, Carlos Fiolhais received Sérgio Rodrigues. In September, on the 1st and 8th, respectively, the event will receive João Fernandes and João Rui Pita to talk.

Besides the talks about Heritage and Science, aimed at adults, Rómulo promotes, in the project Live Science in Summer, meetings for children at the ages of 6 to 10 years old. The activities take place on the terrace of the Jardim da Sereia Tea House, at the University of Coimbra, in the Parque Verde and at the Water Museum, and are called "Routes with Science". Check the dates in the banner below and the complete program on Rómulo's website.
