The University of Coimbra will hold the inauguration of the Student Hub tomorrow at 3 pm. This is an innovative space for welcoming, monitoring and advising students, gathering administrative services and social innovation projects, volunteering and labour market experience, aiming to be a talent incubator.

Located on the ground floor of the former Faculty of Medicine (FMUC - Campus I of the UC), this pioneering space includes a modern integrated circuit of administrative and information services, including Academic Management Services, Social Services and the International Relations Unit. Students will also have access to the Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service (SEF), an Employment Promotion Centre, a Creators Academy and a Design Thinking Lab.

The face-to-face service will be available Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm. The Student Hub will also have a number of rooms and an auditorium for students to develop activities or projects, as well as creative and innovative initiatives.

Appointments for the various services can be made here, or you can book rooms for the initiatives in the Student Hub.

The inauguration will take place in the lobby of the FMUC building, with speeches by the UC Vice-Rectors Alfredo Dias and Cristina Albuquerque, the President of the Coimbra Student Union (AAC), João Assunção, and the Rector of the UC, Amílcar Falcão, and a tour of the Student Hub facilities.

In accordance with the health authorities' guidelines in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will have limited seating but will be broadcast live to the entire university community at www.uc.pt/emdireto.
