PROJECT
ABOUT THE PROJECT
INOVC+ is a strategic pilot project for the Center Region that consists of implementing and consolidating an Innovation Ecosystem for Knowledge and Technology Transfer which, in a networking context, boosts the valorization and transfer of knowledge and R&D+I results to the regional economy, and is a continuation of the previous InovC, InovC 2020 and InovC+ programs.
The project's mission is to strengthen and consolidate the Innovation Ecosystem for Knowledge and Technology Transfer in the Center Region, which is open and inclusive, stimulating networking and incorporating a full range of resources, infrastructures and dynamics, with cross-cutting and sectorally-oriented bets, thus contributing to the competitiveness and sustainability of the Center Region.
The INOVC+ project will last 30 months and have a total eligible investment of around 4.1 million euros, 85% co-financed by CENTRO 2030, Portugal 2030 and the European Union, The European Funds Closer to You.

ACTION PLAN
BOOSTING THE CENTRAL REGION'S INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM
This activity includes a series of actions and initiatives aimed at boosting, strengthening and reinforcing the INOVC+ regional innovation ecosystem, as a way of increasing and improving its capacity and effectiveness as a privileged instrument for valuing and transferring knowledge and technology to the regional economy.
TECHNOLOGY DETECTION AND DISSEMINATION ACTIONS
This activity brings together the actions and initiatives planned at an early stage in the process of involving the scientific community in the innovation pipeline. It essentially involves initial stimulus actions and the involvement of researchers, teachers, students and other members of the academic-scientific community, with or without R&D results and/or technologies with commercial potential, inviting them in an inclusive manner to participate in the INOVC+ project.
INTERACTION WITH COMPANIES
Various interaction initiatives will be carried out with companies, with a view to identifying new R&D+I needs and stimulating the development of R&D+I projects from the INOVC+ regional innovation ecosystem in cooperation with companies.
VALORIZATION AND COMMERCIALIZATION
It is planned to carry out a wide range of initiatives to support the valorization and commercialization of R&D+I results. The various actions planned provide tools to support and stimulate the various sequential phases of support for the valorization and transfer of R&D+I projects, from their initial phase to mature projects seeking, for example, national and/or international commercial opportunities.
STRUCTURING AND MANAGING THE INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM
The structuring and management of the INOVC+ ECOSSYSTEM includes a set of cross-cutting initiatives, including processes for structuring, evaluating and readjusting the implementation of the INOVC+ Program, including intra and inter ECOSSYSTEM INOVC+ benchmarking actions for reciprocal learning of good practices and mechanisms for monitoring the dynamics generated, as well as constant monitoring of the strategies adopted and success indicators, and the preparation of the respective implementation reports.
