The Public’s Interest Motivates Us!
Félix Rodrigues is a student in the Doctoral Program in Anthropology. He conducts his research at CFE – Centre for Functional Ecology – Science for People and the Planet, and came to PubhD Coimbra to explain that “More Than Bodies Were Buried!”
Why did you decide to participate in PubhD Coimbra?
I was invited, but it’s not just the invitation that brought me here. I think that a researcher only fulfills their duty when they communicate with the public. I think it’s a responsibility we have toward Society. So, this is part of a researcher’s job, and I never say no to an invitation like this. So, you invited me, and congratulations, because I loved the event, it had a great audience, with people from diverse fields, and there was a rich exchange of information from different areas.
How was your experience at this edition of PubhD Coimbra?
I received very positive feedback, with lots of questions and clear interest from the people who were there. And that also motivates us as researchers.
Would you recommend participation to other colleagues?
Of course, of course!
