A new experience at the end of my PhD!
Ricardo Moreira defended his doctoral dissertation earlier this month and is now a Doctor in Pharmaceutical Sciences! He carried out his research at CIBB - Center for Innovative Biomedicine and Biotechnology, and came to PubhD Coimbra to tell us about his work on “Lipid nanovesicles to modulate stem cells in the brain”.
Why did you decide to take part in PubhD Coimbra?
Because it’s a new experience, I had never done anything like this before, and I think it’s always very important for us to share what we do in the lab with other people. Not only with people from the scientific community, but also with people who are not familiar with the field and are outside of it, but who are impacted by it. I think it’s important for people to be aware of what is being done in such an innovative area, where every day there are new things to learn and see.
How was your experience at this edition of PubhD Coimbra?
It was very positive, I really enjoyed it. As I said, I had never done anything like this before, I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but I really liked it, it was great.
Would you recommend other colleagues to participate?
I strongly recommend coming, it’s a lot of fun and you end up having a great time, plus you also get to learn about other PhDs in areas you’d never imagine, so yes, I highly encourage everyone to join too!
