Laura Brito, PhD in Sociology and member of the Centre for Social Studies (CES), will discuss how "Gender, race and class discriminations influence the experiences of pregnancy, birth and postpartum".

Rodney Miotti, PhD in Chemical Engineering and part of the Centre for Research in Chemical Process Engineering and Forest Products (CIEPQPF), will speak on "Obesity: a matter of biotechnology, engineering and public health".
