Bilateral visit to Iceland | GendER@UC

During the week of 1-6 May, members of the GendER@UC EEA Grants project from the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research and the partner Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra travelled on a bilateral visit to the University Háskóli Íslands- partner institution of the project- to share experiences on issues related to gender equality and science communication.

The team had the opportunity to meet with the Rector of the University Háskóli Íslands and with the University Háskóli Íslands' project managers who are dedicated to promoting diversity and equality, as well as with the heads of the Marketing and Public Relations Division of this partner. Some members also visited the Science Centre of Háskóli Íslands University, and talked with the representatives of the Student Council and the Equality Office.

This visit contributed to the creation of new synergies between the various partners and opened doors to new partnerships in the area of gender equality.
