iiiUC Trainings: Research Support Tools | Artificial Intelligence Skills and Tools in Research

The seventh session of the 2024 iiiUC Training - Research Support Tools is dedicated to Artificial Intelligence Skills and Tools in Research. The training will be led by António Dias de Figueiredo, retired Full Professor from the Department of Computer Engineering of the University of Coimbra and researcher at the Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra (CISUC) and Penousal Machado, Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics of the University of Coimbra in Portugal and researcher at the Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra (CISUC).

The session aims to:

• Familiarise with the principles and practices of using generative AI tools in research;
• Learn about the principles and implications of using generative AI tools;
• Provide clues for drawing up a ‘kit’ to support the six basic skills of new generation researchers: reading, researching, capturing, organising, writing and socialising.

This training will take place on October 15^th, 2024 at 2:30 pm.

This iiiUC event is online, in Portuguese and open to the entire University of Coimbra community.
