FEUC launches nº 5 of MIL FOLHAS, Library Bulletin

Number 5 of MIL FOLHAS, a quarterly publication of the Library Council of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC), coordinated by Carlos Fortuna, retired full professor at FEUC, will be launched on Friday, May 6, at 17:00 hours, in the space of the FEUC Library.

This issue has several contributions from authors of recognized cultural and scientific merit, including the texts José Augusto Cardoso Bernardes (on the ethics of intellectual work), Luís Lopes and Margarida Antunes (on “making the University” from an integrated cycle of cinema, debates and seminars), Paula Sequeiros (on demo-bibliodiversity), Célia Santos and Carlos Medeiros (focused on the importance of the Jacques Delors library) and Luís Cruz (in homage to Pedro Nogueira Ramos) . This edition also includes reading suggestions from other FEUC professors and a synthesis, coordinated by Rita Martins and Cristela Bairrada, of the results of a questionnaire given to professors about the “Library and Readings”.

In addition to interventions by Carlos Fortuna, coordinator of the bulletin, and Álvaro Garrido, director of FEUC, the session – which will take place in the library but which will also be transmitted online at the link https://videoconf-colibri.zoom.us/j/85081762742 – will also feature interventions by several of the contributors to this issue.

MIL FOLHAS promotes an open reflection on the place of libraries, books and reading.
