50 Years of FEUC | 2nd of December of 2022
On December 2, 2022, FEUC completes 50 years of life. The day is marked with two sessions.
In the morning (at 10.30 am, in the FEUC auditorium) FEUC DAY is celebrated. The program includes tributes to the Best Students at FEUC (2021/2022). The FEUC Exemplar Prize, Professor Ana Maria Rodrigues Prize, Fundação Eng.º António de Almeida Prize for the best doctoral thesis, FEUC Teaching Prize and FEUC Science Prize will also be awarded. The ceremony also includes a tribute to teachers and staff in retirement/retiring.
In the afternoon (at 5pm, in the FEUC auditorium), the COMMEMORATIVE SESSION OF FEUC'S 50th ANNIVERSARY will take place. This session will be marked with the Conference “Territory and Economic Development”, delivered by the European Commissioner Elisa Ferreira. The opening will be in charge of the Director of FEUC, Álvaro Garrido, and will be closed by the Rector of the UC, Amílcar Falcão.
The celebration of FEUC's 50th anniversary begins on December 2, 2022 and lasts for one year, until December 2, 2023, with a detailed schedule that can be consulted at https://www.uc.pt /feuc/50years/. FEUC thus opens itself to the city and offers a wide range of scientific and cultural initiatives that appeal to participation. It is a strong commitment to the humanist values of the University of Coimbra, which calls for the involvement of the Faculty, its teachers and students, in the debate and resolution of the great problems of our time.
