Presentation of the recently renewed Cooperation Agreement between CES and the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) and, within this, of the project coordinated by the visiting researcher Guilherme Franco Netto, from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) on the theme “Ecocidio e Territórios Globalizados dos Cerrados: resistências e lutas dos povos e comunidades originários e tradicionais em defesa da vida e da saúde" [Ecocide and Globalised Territories of the Cerrados: resistances and struggles of the original and traditional peoples and communities in defence of life and health]. The project is supervised, at CES, by João Arriscado Nunes.
The session will be attended by Hermano Albuquerque de Castro, Vice-president of Environment, Attention and Health Promotion of Fiocruz, Marco Menezes, Director of the National School of Public Health Sérgio Arouca - Fiocruz, representing Fiocruz, Álvaro Garrido, Director of the Faculty of Economics, representative of the CES board of directors, Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Director Emeritus of CES, and Guilherme Franco Netto, visiting researcher at CES. Representatives of the Campaign in Defence of the Cerrado and the Permanent Peoples' Tribunal will be present at a distance.
