Free and open to researchers and students interested in the field of Entrepreneurship.
On May 9th, the University of Coimbra will host a Paper Development Workshop | Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice with the aim of helping researchers in the field of Entrepreneurship to write and publish their articles in a leading scientific journal. The session will take place at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (Keynes Room, 4th Floor) at 10 am.
Early-career researchers and those who have yet to publish in ETP are particularly encouraged to apply. Submissions on all entrepreneurship-relevant topics, at all levels of analysis, and using all empirical methods are invited for the workshop.
The workshop will be led by Cristiano Bellavitis, Professor at Syracuse University (United States) and editor of the scientific journal Entrepreneurship, Theory & Practice (ETP).
Free and open to researchers and students with accepted full papers or extended abstracts. The workshop requires prior registration until March 30th using the following form: https://ls.uc.pt/index.php/445499?lang=en.
Each participant can only submit one full paper or extended abstract. The paper submitted for consideration must be in English and not have been published. Single PDF file should be submitted, also including a cover letter with title, all authors’ names, e-mails, affiliations, and the indication of the author(s) panning to attend the workshop. Authors will be notified about the status of their submissions by April 15th, 2024.
Entirely in English, the event will feature the following moments:
1. Presentation of the requirements for publication in ETP and the respective editorial process;
2. Strategies, tips and practical examples for publishing on ETP;
3. Presentation by participants of the submitted manuscripts, with the aim of ensuring personalized feedback.
The program starts with general information about publishing in ETP, such as what makes a successful ETP paper, and how to address the key challenges that Editors and reviewers see in the review process. Participants will then present for 15 minutes their research and the editor and other participants will provide developmental feedback aimed at improving the manuscripts.
Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice is a leading academic journal in the field of Entrepreneurship. The Journal's mission is to publish original conceptual and empirical research that contributes to the advancement of Entrepreneurship. ETP is consistently ranked as one of the most influential business journals by the Journal Citation Reports and by the Financial Times as one of the leading journals.
The Paper Development Workshop will be part of Startup Capital Summit agenda and it is supported by MetaRed X Portugal - Collaborative Network of Entrepreneurship Units of Portuguese Higher Education Institutions and Centre for Business and Economics Research (CEBER).
