The NEG/AAC has opened registrations for the NEG RUN 2026, in association with the IPO of Coimbra, and FEUC is honored to be associated with it.
This is a solidarity race organized by NEG/AAC, which unites sport and solidarity in a unique initiative. Created with the aim of encouraging sports practice and, at the same time, supporting a greater cause, this race has already become an important landmark in the academic community and in the city of Cuiabá.
In the 1st edition, in 2021, more than 1000 participants ran from their homes, allowing the donation of €1,500 to the IPO of Coimbra. In 2024, already in the in-person format, the race had 320 participants, who together managed to raise R$ 1,600, again donated to the IPO.
The NEG Run will return to the streets of Coimbra, aiming to encourage healthy lifestyles and sportsmanship. As in previous editions, it will be a charity event, with all proceeds going to the IPO of Coimbra. It will consist of a 10km or 5km run/walk, respectively. The NEG Run expects to receive at least 400 participants and aims to reach 500. The event provides the necessary sports and civil liability insurance.
The 2026 edition will take place on April 19th.
Registrations
Registration costs €10 for students and €12 for non-students. All proceeds will be donated to the IPO of Coimbra, helping with the treatment of cancer patients and research in the health field.

Prize
All participants will receive a certificate of participation in the race. Winners in each category will receive trophies and physical prizes to be determined, which will be awarded to the winners duly approved by NEG/AAC.
Route
The routes prioritize the banks of the Mondego River, passing through emblematic points such as Choupal, Santa Clara and the historic downtown area of Coimbra. These routes may be subject to changes due to damage caused by the storm.
