As part of the Capacity Building project in the Central Region for Genomic Medicine, in which CEISUC and FEUC participate, the webinar entitled “Ethics and Genomics”, delivered by Margarida Silvestre, will take place on April 19 at 6 pm.
Summary:
This Webinar will provide a brief introduction to Bioethics and its historical context, as well as to genomic medicine, its evolution and potential uses, and then to dwell on the main ethical issues raised by the global implementation of this practice, with regard to informed consent, confidentiality and information sharing, as well as scientific research in this context.
